日米関係が強固なのは
蓄積された信頼があるからか
それともただの惰性*1なのか
ワシントンに居ると感じる
双方が慣れきってしまっていると
本当の変革を求めるのであれば
双方が変わらなければならない
Is US-Japan relation strong
because there is hard-earned trust between us
Or because we just have "grown comfortable"*2 to it?
Each of us takes things for granted much too often
That's what I feel here in Washington
If you are seeking for real change
Then each of us has to change
